Job summary

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. is seeking an SMT Operator I for the 3rd shift in our LaFox, IL manufacturing site. You will operate SMT equipment and support selective solder, conformal coating, and wave solder processes to maintain production quality.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2–5 years SMT experience, plus basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will document production runs, assist with troubleshooting, and participate in in-house IPC training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, and 2-5 years' experience in an SMT environment.
• Working computer knowledge essential to run equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Good mechanical and electronic skills.

Responsibilities

• Run selective solder, conformal coating and wave solder equipment.
• Learn machine functions and to make proper adjustments to setup to ensure quality of materials produced.
• Attend in-house IPC Certification.
• Maintain records of production runs for analysis and review.
• Assist with troubleshooting failures that appear during product testing and perform rework as instructed
• Ensure projects are maintained and paperwork is turned in with produced materials.
• Perform cycle count on stock materials where needed.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
