Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Shift Production Supervisor in Jeffersonville, IN to coordinate production activities, meet targets, and ensure quality while driving P&L results. The 3rd shift runs 10:00PM - 6:30AM, Monday-Friday.

You will lead a team on the production floor, resolve issues, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with management to meet SLAs and customer expectations. The role requires at least 1 year of leadership experience in a materials/distribution environment, strong communication, and

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with focus on results and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises workers operating production machinery and packaging products.
  • Assigns daily tasks and supports production challenges to improve operations.
  • Monitors KPIs and reporting to meet customer expectations and SLAs.
  • Communicates during shift transitions to prep the next shift for success.
  • Provides first-level escalation support during shift and maintains safety standards.
  • Ensures timely completion of timecards and HR-related actions as needed.
  • Supports labor planning, scheduling, and P&L forecasting with the team.

Job description

The Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers, ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving P&L results. This position supervises production operations within an assigned areas or during assigned shifts.

3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

  • Supervises workers who operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality checks, or package products for shipment.
  • Assigns tasks for the day, provides support with production challenges, and looks for ways to improve operations.
  • Supports the team in meeting or exceeding daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through accurate reporting that aligns with or surpasses customer expectations.
  • Delivers clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
  • Provides first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
  • Maintains consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
  • Communicates effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
  • Engages in employee relations initiatives by promptly addressing employee concerns andbassisting HR and Managers with administering disciplinary actions to direct labor team members.
  • Monitors the accuracy and timely completion of employee timecards by reviewing submissions, correcting errors, and working with team members to resolve discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
  • Assists with temporary labor compliance by escalating attendance, conduct, and performance issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment by fostering open communication, promoting mutual respect, and supporting team collaboration.
  • Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
  • Prepares and delivers daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
  • Coordinates workflow and ensures supplies and materials are available to meet demand.
  • Provides training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned, based on the needs of the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience, materials/distribution environment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
  • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
  • Supervising temporary staff
  • Experience working with UKG
  • General knowledge of OSHA Standards

Educational Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
