Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN in Newark, DE seeks a 3rd Shift Service Center Operator to process metal products, operate machinery, and ensure safety and quality on the 3rd shift.

You will read work orders and blueprints, measure materials with calipers and micrometers, operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and complete production paperwork while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

3rd Shift Service Center Operator Opportunity

Pay: $22.64/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 PM-5:00 AM Overtime: Available as needed, including occasional Saturdays

Job Overview

We are hiring a Service Center Operator for our 3rd shift team. The Service Center Operator is responsible for processing metal products, operating machinery, handling materials, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal Service Center Operator will have experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws and other equipment to process customer orders.
• Read work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Measure and inspect materials using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move and stage materials.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Complete production paperwork and system transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Center Operator, machine operator, production associate, or warehouse associate preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work safely around heavy materials and industrial equipment.
