Job summary

Nimble is seeking a dependable Custodian for the 3rd shift, an 8-hour role at a school facility. The position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff during after-hours operations.

The custodian will perform cleaning, basic maintenance, grounds care, and safety checks, while reporting major repairs to the Head Custodian and ensuring doors and security align with school procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to plan and organize daily tasks.
• Demonstrates good human relations and communication.
• Aptitude for cleaning, minor mechanical repair, and good work habits.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by the board.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Performs painting duties as required.
• Shovels, plows, and sands walks and driveways as appropriate.
• Ensures exit doors and panics bolts function during occupancy hours.
• Maintains grounds and performs yardkeeping duties as needed.
• Reports major repairs promptly to the Head Custodian.
• Opens and closes the building each school day and ensures doors/windows are secured.
