Job summary

Generous Brands is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor in Torrance, CA to oversee shift manufacturing and production operations with a strong focus on sanitation. The role supports production and maintenance teams to keep plant operations running efficiently.

The candidate will lead sanitation teams, ensure compliance with MSS, SSOP, and GMP standards, and participate in audits. 3rd shift work with comprehensive safety responsibilities is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, food production, or sanitation.
• Experience leading or training teams.
• Familiarity with MSS and sanitation documentation systems.
• Exposure to GMPs, SQF, or FDA-regulated environments.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Sanitation Oversight: lead and support sanitation team members to ensure cleaning tasks are completed.
• Directs sanitation workers and schedules activities per Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Drives engagement and performance of all team members.
• Manages SSOP and master sanitation programs; verifies compliance and maintains documentation.
• Coordinates on-going training and development of sanitation staff.
• Executes CIP/COP and external sanitation activities per procedures.
• Ensures safe use of sanitation chemicals and tools.
• Works with Production Manager to identify resource needs.
• Controls sanitation budgets and develops cost-saving ideas.
• Participates in hiring, discipline, evaluation and development of staff.
• Orders supplies for sanitation processes.
• Assists QA during inspections and testing to meet standards.
• Collaborates with QA, Production, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Maintains GMP, food safety, and quality procedures.
• Monitors quality measures with analytical tools.
• Upholds safety as a core value and coaches others.
• Follows established safety guidelines and PPE usage.
• Acts as safety change agent (e.g., CPR/First Aid certification).
• Performs other duties to support Health-Ade mission.
• Ensures regular attendance and punctuality.
• Onboards and trains sanitation employees on MSS expectations and chemical safety.
• Assists with internal and external audits (GMP, SQF, FDA, customer).
• Maintenance Support: guide maintenance techs during 3rd shift; troubleshoot issues; coordinate repairs.
• Production Support: assist lines post-sanitation; communicate status and issues.
• Environmental & Compliance: manage environmental program; maintain SOPs; ensure proper chemical usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
