Job summary

Iowa Ag in Ottumwa is seeking a 3rd shift Sanitation Superintendent to lead and manage all sanitation operations at the facility. You will ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and drive efficient, high-standards of cleanliness, working closely with site leadership.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, process improvement, and collaboration with QA and production teams to support product safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in sanitation management are a plus.
• Proven leadership experience in sanitation management within manufacturing or food processing.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines for cleanliness.
• Oversee daily sanitation activities including cleaning, disinfection, waste, and pest control.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify improvements and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with production and QA to minimize operational disruptions from sanitation needs.
• Lead sanitation staff, provide training, evaluate performance, and coach staff.
