Job summary

Masterson Staffing is seeking a sanitation associate for a food production facility in Elgin, IL. The role covers cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining GMP-compliant conditions on the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM).

You will operate cleaning equipment, handle chemicals safely, follow PPE rules, and work with a team to complete daily sanitation tasks. English is not required, and willingness to train is expected.

• Ability to work in wet, cold, or fast-paced environments.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per policies and GMPs.
• Perform routine cleaning: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting.
• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, high-touch surfaces.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment: floor scrubbers, vacuums, power washers.
• Follow chemical handling procedures and safety guidelines.
• Use color-coded tools to prevent cross-contamination.
• Assist in disassembling/reassembling equipment for deep cleaning.
• Collaborate with team to complete daily sanitation tasks efficiently.
• Keep a clean and organized work area; adhere to PPE standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations (GMPs)
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting surfaces
• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and high-touch surfaces regularly
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and power washers
• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and safety guidelines
• Use color-coded cleaning tools and supplies to prevent cross-contamination
• Assist in disassembling and reassembling equipment for deep cleaning
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily sanitation assignments efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
• Adhere to all PPE requirements and safety standards

Requirements

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred (especially in food production or manufacturing)
• Ability to work in wet, cold, or fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow instructions

Additional Information
