Job summary

Smith+Neb is hiring an Inspector I to perform basic visual, dimensional and functional inspections of in-house manufactured/assembled products. You will determine conformance to specifications, document decisions, and support operators on the floor.

The role requires reading drawings, using measuring equipment, and applying GMP and QSR requirements. Strong documentation and team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 0+ years of experience in inspection or related field.
• Predominantly documentation comparison and review.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assembled, semi-finished and finished product per procedures/drawings.
• Use measuring equipment to determine as found/as left conditions.
• Support qualification/validation and document decisions per specs.
• Review product documentation for acceptability per specs and QSR requirements.
• Train other inspectors and promote quality standards.
• Operate automated inspection equipment (vision systems).
• Work independently and in a team on the shop floor.
