Job summary

Plymouth Tube Company - Trent is seeking an Inspection Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) in the Quality department. The role reports to Linda Barrientos, Production supervisor, and is hourly/non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Must read, write and perform basic math calculations without difficulty or additional assistance.
• Must be trainable and demonstrate comprehension on equipment and production techniques.
• Must demonstrate strong general mechanical skills.
• Must support and embrace an empowered team culture and have excellent communication skills.
• Must concentrate in a dynamic environment and be detail-oriented to maintain quality and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Participate in plant safety initiatives and maintain housekeeping while pursuing lean improvements.
• Work within responsibility area using visual management and take corrective actions to meet quality and production goals.
• Ensure the production plan is executed to deliver to customers on time.
• Manage hazardous waste as required by policies.
• Train in and consistently follow policies, procedures, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as directed by leadership; perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Engage in problem solving and kaizen activities to improve operations.
