These products are used in commercial, infrastructure and industrial applications to protect people and property.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  1. Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
  2. Report immediately to the Plant Manager or Shift Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure of plant equipment.
  3. Perform in-process testing or inspection of product as required by Victaulic specification. Report/record findings or results of tests/inspections and notify QA Manager of any non-conformances or discrepancies.
  4. Operate CMM and follow up with appropriate actions as required.
  5. Conduct internal audits of processes and procedures, including manufacturing set-up and production.
  6. Conduct daily scrap collection for assigned shift. Perform analysis and make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Acquire general knowledge of product being manufactured including fit, form, and function. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with complex machining, assembly, and/or testing issues. Implement corrective and preventative actions, as required.
  8. Develop training plans and materials, conduct training, and maintain professional competency.
  9. Perform technical duties or special assignments as assigned by the Plant Manager or QA Manager.
  10. Possess the authority to make disposition on and release product to next process including release to customer.
Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):
  1. High School graduate, or equivalent.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in a quality-related role preferred.
  3. Read and understand engineering procedures, drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
  4. Have a basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  5. Capable of accurately using calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, hardness test equipment, and other precision variable gauges.
  6. Capable of using a computer. Preferred exposure to MS Word and Excel (or similar).
  7. Capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
  8. Capable of working second or third shift, as designated, and occasional Saturdays or overtime during the week.
