Belle Aire Creations is seeking a Quality Control Technician to validate materials and oversee production testing. You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Planning to ensure quality from raw materials to finished goods.

The role requires at least a high school diploma with preferred associate or bachelor degree and 1 year lab experience. Strong English communication, GMP knowledge, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling projects as directed by Quality Manager.
  • Perform manual testing of rush samples.
  • Test and verify incoming raw materials to ensure correct identification and release.
  • Conduct odor evaluations on finished batches.
  • Pull micro samples for laboratory testing.
  • Load samples onto GC machines for analysis.
  • Conduct viscosity and pH testing as required.
  • Quarantine materials that are out of specification or range.
  • Oversee proper disposal of expired materials/products.
  • Implementation of safe work practices.
  • Adhere to Belle Aire Creations PTO policy.

Job Description:

Due to increasing business activity and to further build upon our continued success, Belle Aire Creations needs capable Quality Technicians. Our Quality Technicians are specialists whose primary goal is to validate incoming raw materials through the production process, and into the finished goods phases of operations. To do so, the Quality Team oversees current production processes utilizing an array of raw test methods to ascertain compliance. You will support the fragrance manufacturing process alongside Production Staff, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Planning staff. Quality Technicians report to the Quality Manger of their respective shift, under direction of the Senior Quality Manger.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Assist with scheduling projects as directed by Quality Manager

Requirements:

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma required, Associate or bachelor degree preferred.

  • 1-year relevant experience in production lab, or analytical lab environment.

  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.

  • Production skills: Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMP’s).

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Deadline oriented.

  • IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications.

  • Excellent ability to work with others.

  • Cognitive (Reasoning):


    • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.


  • Communication:


    • Vocalize and explain detailed data and problem-solve, both in-person and by telephone. Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)

    • Compose routine correspondence on own initiative.

    • Make comprehensive notes in English.

    • May involve a large volume of such composition.

    • Must have ability to work well under pressure.

    • Send follow-up emails and provide requested documentation to other departments.

    • Maintain clear and timely communication with other departments, providing status updates as needed.

    • Assist with work scheduling as directed by the Quality Manager.

    • Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support as needed


  • Physical Capabilities


    • Strength (lifting, dexterity, repetitive motion):

      • Must be able to lift 40-lbs onto waist high shelves.

      • Must be able to lift and carry a min of 25lbs.



    • Movement: Employee will frequently use fingers, walk and distinguish basic colors. Employee will continuously use both hands, sit for extended periods of time, and use rapid or well-developed coordination simultaneously.

    • Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment

    • Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
