Job summary

You will collaborate with welders and supervisors, monitor welding parameters, and contribute to quality initiatives across the shop floor. The position requires CWI/VT II certification and a background in fabrication environments.

Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ASNT VT Level II certification.
• Experience in quality control and welding inspection in fabrication environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding codes and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Shift flexibility to 3rd shift (5pm–5am) with 4/12s.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Production and DOT Inspectors to witness QC hold points.
• Conduct visual inspection of material and welds.
• Perform layout checks and dimensional verification.
• Monitor welding parameters to ensure compliance with WPS.
• Read and interpret welding codes and specifications.
• Develop process improvements to streamline quality flow.
• Audit Quality Management System and maintain required reports.
• Coordinate inspections between production, shipping, and inspectors.
