Job summary

The Healing Place seeks a 3rd Shift PT Monitor in Louisville, KY to provide 24-hour supervision of residents and guests, ensuring safety and adherence to facility guidelines. The role involves documenting incidents and responses, performing rounds, and supporting detox processes when needed.

Responsibilities include intake/discharge documentation, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication administration, and enforcing policies while maintaining a clean, secure environment for all clients

Qualifications

• Driver’s license preferred.
• Must be able to navigate stairs and spend the majority of the shift on your feet.
• Must be able to learn and apply basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to provide assistance during medical distress by delivering aid, CPR or administering medication when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of residents/guests and ensure safety for clients and staff.
• Perform hourly rounds throughout the facility.
• Document adherence to facility policies and guidelines.
• Assess and screen incoming clients for detox/overnight eligibility and refer as needed.
• Conduct client intake and proper documentation.
• Document discharges and assist with detox completion referrals.
• Respond to medical situations and document actions.
• Record vital signs and monitor detox clients’ blood pressure as required.
• Make medications available to clients and document administration.
• Conduct contraband searches of clients and rooms and document results.
• Carry out drug screening procedures and document outcomes.
• Enforce facility policies and maintain a clean, orderly environment.

3rd Shift PT Monitor

Position Summary

Monitors provide 24-hour supervision of The Healing Place and its clients/guests. Monitors are expected to hold residents accountable to the facility guidelines and are first responders to any incident that requires medical attention or law enforcement that takes place on The Healing Place property. Proper documentation of all responsibilities of this position is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide supervision of the residents/ guest, ensuring client and staff safety
• Perform hourly rounds throughout the entire facility
• Ensure accountability of clients to the facility policies and guidelines
• Observe and document any client behavior not adhering to facility guidelines
• Assess/ screen incoming clients to determine appropriateness for detox/ overnight and refer if not eligible
• Perform client intake and properly document
• Properly document any discharges from the facility
• Assess and refer clients for completion of detox
• Respond to and document any medical situation that occurs within the facility
• Monitor and record detox clients’ blood pressure every 8 hours
• Make medications available to clients in a responsible fashion and properly document
• Facilitate and document contraband searches of clients and their rooms
• Facilitate and document drug screening of clients
• Enforce policies and procedures of the facility
• Ensure the facility and grounds are kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition

Qualifications / Requirements

• Driver’s license preferred
• Must be able to navigate stairs and spend majority of workday on your feet (walking, standing)
• Must have or be able to learn and apply basic computer skills, including Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Outlook
• Due to the nature of the work, must be able to rapidly provide assistance to a resident in medical distress by delivering aid, performing CPR or administering medication to counter drug overdoses.
