Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 3rd shift at the Rochester Innovation Center. The role directs a manufacturing team, ensuring timely assembly with high quality while coaching team members to success.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of manufacturing best practices. The position emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Manufacturing experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to lead a team and meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks and lead daily production to meet schedules.
• Provide training and communicate product knowledge to team.
• Drive quality metrics and safety compliance across shift.
• Cross-train team members to improve versatility.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to define procedures.
• Lead 5S and maintain inventory accuracy; work with scheduler on material usage.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and outcomes.
• Support performance evaluations and disciplinary needs as necessary.
