Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks a General Laborer/Shop Helper for the 3rd shift in Troy, MI. You will assist the Plant Manager with daily shop floor operations in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and a reliable, hands-on approach.

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; background check required. Duties include part handling, light manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Competitive pay with potential overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Part Handling: Place parts on racks before plating and remove them afterward, ensuring proper handling throughout the process.
• Equipment Maintenance: Assist in cleaning and maintaining shop equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Light Manufacturing: Assemble items, prepare materials, and perform other basic manufacturing tasks as directed.
• Facility Support: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor and workstations.
• Errands: Pick up supplies, deliver parts, and run other shop-related errands as needed.
• Task Execution: Support the Plant Manager in executing various projects and assignments.
