Quanex in Jackson, GA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am; training on 1st shift) to coordinate operations and meet customer requirements. Must understand all production positions and supervise hourly associates.

Responsibilities include managing production schedule, enforcing safety rules, addressing safety issues, investigating accidents, ensuring SOP compliance, training staff, driving continuous improvement, addressing quality issues, training in 5S, and

Qualifications

• 5 -7 years of manufacturing and at least 3 years of supervisory experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and execute production schedule.
• Ensure compliance to company safety rules and company policies.
• Identify and address safety issues.
• Accident investigation and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensures staff is properly trained.
• Continuously look for improvements and elimination of all waste.
• Address quality issues, ensure product meets quality standards through the manufacturing process.
• Must understand 5s system and be able to train others in this area.
• Identify quality and production issues with suggestions for resolution.
