Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all employees understand and follow safety rules, regulations, and policies. Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with standards and laws. Conduct safety training and investigate accidents and near misses.
2. Manage all operational aspects of assigned shift, supervising hourly personnel and ensuring accountability.
3. Ensure continuity between shifts and set practices and goals for improvement.
4. Coordinate resources to address problems and improve efficiency.
5. Lead improvement projects and control processes and methods.
6. Coordinate training and staffing for the area.
7. Maintain cleanliness and proper equipment operation, ensuring quality production in a safe environment.
8. Enforce priorities, procedures, and safety regulations.
9. Monitor operations, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
10. Complete reports related to production, attendance, and safety.
11. Distribute overtime fairly and adhere to collective bargaining agreements.
12. Address process issues and communicate effectively with staff and other departments.
13. Participate in quality and delivery improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma required; college preferred.
2. Five years of experience in foundry operations.
3. Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or shifts.
4. Maintain professional appearance and good attendance.
5. Capable of handling stressful situations physically and mentally.
6. Ability to conduct and participate in meetings.
