Job description

The Production Supervisor ensures employee safety, product quality, and asset performance while delivering on time the shift/line/area production plan. The role requires a transformational leader who creates a sustainable work environment, engages employees, and builds competency across the team.

Schedule

2/2/3 night shift schedule, 12‑hour days from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

  • Week 1: Work, Off, Off, Work, Work, Off, Off
  • Week 2: Off, Work, Work, Off, Off, Work, Work
Primary Responsibilities
  • Train team on competencies, GMPs, equipment, and safety procedures, fostering a standards culture.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and manage environmental impacts per the environmental management plan.
  • Ensure quality objectives through sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality inspections, addressing errors proactively.
  • Coach employees to exceed job requirements, preparing for daily operation reviews, and facilitating clear handoffs.
  • Adhere to Nestlé policies and external regulations.
  • Empower employees to make autonomous decisions, manage operations efficiently, and cross‑train for production plans.
  • Launch new products on schedule and maintain routines for equipment performance in coordination with quality and engineering.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repairs to maximize efficiency and promote digital technologies for continuous improvement.
Requirements & Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of leadership experience in manufacturing or, alternatively, two years in a leadership role in the U.S. Military.
Experience
  • Experience in food processing or packaging.
  • Experience in quality within a food processing environment.
  • Experience in safety.
  • Experience in continuous improvement environments (Lean or TPM preferred).
Skills
  • Maintain safe working environment through housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills; ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences, coach groups, and address non‑compliance effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; motivate employees and mentor for development.
  • Willingness to face challenging situations and solve problems independently.
  • Build trust‑based relationships with open communication.
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
