Job summary

Savencia Cheese USA is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee hourly production staff on shift in Lena, IL. This full-time role drives safety, quality, and efficiency across production, with a focus on implementing improvements and directing daily operations.

Required: 3–5 years as a production lead or supervisor in manufacturing, high school diploma, and proficiency in MS Office. Bachelor’s degree and SAP/OEE/CIM experience preferred; occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience as production lead or supervisor in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Leadership, problem solving, organizational, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide employee direction and required training to meet safety, quality, and performance standards and expectations.
• Enforce employee safety by assuring procedures are followed and implement corrective action.
• Enforce quality, regulatory, and operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor KPI performance and communicate results regarding safety, quality, and performance; implement corrective actions as required.
• Support and mentor the Team Leads in enforcing GMP, employee relations, scheduling, and objectives.
• Conduct and participate in continuous improvement activities and short and long-term projects.
• Maintain inspection-ready condition of facility and processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Utilize SAP and other systems to investigate corrections and track issues.
• Communicate and direct production maintenance staff as required.
• Maintain daily production scheduling and ensure on-time start of lines.
