Job summary

Alleguard invites applications for a 3rd Shift Press Operator at our Cave Spring, GA facility. You will inspect molded/assembled parts for defects, pack items per specification, and document production data accurately.

The role emphasizes safety, proper labeling, and maintaining a clean, efficient work area. Responsibilities include monitoring the press, rejecting non-conforming parts, and transferring parts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Observation of molded/assembled parts to ensure quality and detect defects.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and quality standards.
  • Active listening to follow supervisor directions and communicate issues.
  • Monitor machine gauges and processes to ensure proper operation.
  • Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changes in processes.
  • Usage of PPE and adherence to safety policies.
  • Clear communication with team members to coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor press to ensure parts are fully ejected and within specs.
  • Pack acceptable parts into designated packaging or pallets per quality standards.
  • Discard/reject non-conforming parts, materials, or equipment.
  • Label completed containers with accurate item information.
  • Record production data accurately for traceability.
  • Inspect visually for conformance and quality.
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris; manage waste and PPE.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Move parts using pallet jacks or equipment as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position

3rd Shift Press Operator

Job Summary

We are currently hiring Press Operators for our manufacturing site. As a Press Operator, you are responsible for inspecting and sorting molded or assembled parts/ products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications. You will also pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.

Pay

$16 USD/hr + $1 USD/hr Shift Premium

Schedule
  • 12:00 a.m.- 8:00 a.m.
  • Monday-Friday
  • Flexibility is a must; overtime, weekend work subject to customer demand.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor press to ensure parts are completely ejected from the mold. Notify Production Supervisor of any problems observed or encountered during the molding operation.
  • Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configuration according to the established quality standard.
  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to established quality standards.
  • Record production data.
  • Remove molded parts from the collection bin or table and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and keep area free of debris and standing water.
  • Perform duties in conformance with all established safety policies and procedures.
  • Transfer parts in/out of drying tunnel as required/instructed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Observation - ability to visually inspect parts during the production operation and properly determine whether the parts meet quality standards.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written instructions contained in work-related documents.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Ability to use manual pallet jack or other designated material handling equipment to move finished good parts and/or components to/from the assigned workstation.
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes protective eyewear, may also require hearing protection, and reinforced-toe safety shoes.
Physical Demands
  • Position requires physical mobility involving repeated bending and stretching.
  • Position requires continuous standing for periods of 4-8 hrs.
  • Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
