York Container, an Atlantic Packaging Company, seeks a detail-oriented Prepress Technician to coordinate daily ink fulfillment for 24-hour production. You will dispense ink, maintain color standards, and manage inventory while supporting color matching and press troubleshooting.

The role also includes cross-training and backup coverage in Prepress within a safety-conscious plant. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (degree preferred) and 5 years in ink or prepress.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED; five years in ink/prepress preferred.
• Degree preferred; relevant experience accepted.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Outlook, HRMS, CTI; Excel/Word knowledge.
• Knowledge of color theory and spectrophotometry required.
• Familiarity with flexographic printing and printing plates.
• Experience with die cutting methods and related tools.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the Prepress department’s day-to-day ink fulfillment.
• Dispense ink for 24-hour production schedule.
• Maintain color standard library and ink inventory.
• Assist with color matching and troubleshooting on press.

Degree preferredProficiency in the following computer software: Windows O.S. Outlook, HRMS and CTI. Input knowledge of Excel, WordProficiency in color theory spectrophotometry.Knowledge of flexographic printing and printing plates.Knowledge of rotary and flatbed die cutting methods.Machines/Tools/Equipment:Windows based computer system, copy/ fax. X Rite color management software and probes. pH and viscosity, slide angle and rub testing equipment.
