Job Summary:

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties related to establishing and maintaining mold-related processes. This includes, but is not limited to, determining injection molding processes to manufacture products in the most cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineering on the design of new molds
• Perform mold trials, sampling, and pilot runs
• Establish and document injection molding processes for new molds
• Identify and document scientific molding opportunities
• Provide feedback to engineering on tooling performance and conditions
• Determine labor requirements for new molds
• Recommend automation and auxiliary equipment to reduce labor costs
• Maintain machine specifications data on the shared drive
• Keep records of all scientific molding processes
• Provide leadership and training for all molding applications
• Collaborate with production and plant managers to evaluate processing performance of supervisors using the LMT skill set training matrix

Experience:

• Proven experience in mold setup and injection molding processing
• Understanding and adherence to safety requirements for molds and equipment
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, with heavier objects at times
