Job summary

Ottenweller Company in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Plasma Table Operator for 3rd shift. You will set up and run a plasma burntable to cut heavy gage metal and load plates using overhead cranes.

The role requires basic blueprint reading, 1–2 years of related experience, and 3–6 months of CNC operation in manufacturing. You will monitor torch heat, perform first-piece inspections, and help maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• 3-6 months CNC machine operation experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up plasma burntable by loading large steel plates and entering job parameters.
• Operate burntable by monitoring heat, pre-heat times, and pierce rate.
• Unload parts using overhead crane/jib crane and inspect first piece per blueprint.
• Clean and scrape parts and scrap, and perform routine maintenance on the table.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection per C=O chart using calipers and tape.
