Job summary

Central Steel & Wire is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 3rd shift to direct plant operations, including production equipment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The role requires leadership of direct reports and collaboration across departments to meet production objectives.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of supervisory experience, strong MS Office skills, and a willingness to learn SAP. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits is offered in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED is required; College Education preferred.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn SAP and become proficient.

Responsibilities

• Direct the efficient function of plant operations including production equipment, shipping, receiving and inventory.
• Provide leadership to direct reports; coach and counsel employees.
• Facilitate problem solving and team building activities.
• Participate in Performance Management Process (PMP).
• Align with company policies, goals and objectives.
• Understand quality goals and ISO 9000, implement actions to meet them.
• Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low.
• Ensure training is conducted and training checklists completed.
• Communicate with other departments and locations.
• Assess customer requirements and advise on material and equipment suitability.
• Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals.
• Review unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• All other duties as assigned.
