Job summary

R.M. Palmer Company is seeking a diligent Packer to support manufacturing operations by packing, boxing, and preparing finished chocolate products for shipment. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and timely production to ensure candy reaches customers in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include loading trays, moving products to packaging, sealing boxes, and maintaining clean work areas. A minimum of one year in packing and a collaborative attitude are preferred to thrive in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous packing experience preferred.
• At least one year of consistent work history.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Place molded chocolate pieces on trays, separate designs, and refill trays as needed.
• Move trays of chocolates to packaging machines and add bulk supplies when needed.
• Form, seal, and stack boxes for shipping or further processing.
• Pack chocolate pieces and candy trays by hand for the next stage of production.
• Place chocolates into foiling molds, watch packaging lines, and prepare finished boxes.
• Set up boxes, pack bulk candy, and get cartons ready for shipping.
• Fill, wrap, and package chocolate bars or hollow pieces into trays or boxes.
• Insert sticks, wrap pops, and pack them for shipping.
• Clean machines and work areas during downtime or at the end of the shift; follow all sanitation and waste procedures.
• Inspect products to make sure they meet quality and food safety standards.
