Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates, LLC in Abilene, TX is seeking a Packer to join our fast-paced production team. You will be at the end of the line, packing candy that meets quality standards and supporting our GMP and food safety programs.

A day in the life…

As a Packer, you play a key role in ensuring our high‑quality candy is perfectly prepared for our customers. You will work at the end of the production line, carefully handling the final stages of packaging. Success in this role requires teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Your attention to detail and collaboration will help maintain our commitment to excellence.

What you will be doing…
  • Packing candy that meets quality standards.
  • Requesting, receiving product (raw and finished).
  • Maintaining product quality and records.
  • Packing product per guidelines.
  • Delivering product as needed.
  • Understanding specifications for each type of product and recognizing deviations.
  • Performing clean‑up activities.
  • Controlling waste on the line.
  • Notifying leads or supervisors if inferior candy, wrong bases, incorrect description, incomplete boxes or other pertinent issues.
  • Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Completing and following FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring consumer safety, and supporting the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
  • Promptly reporting and taking appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non‑conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
