Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Production Packaging Associate for the City of Industry plant. The role is responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products, loading and moving material, and operating packaging equipment while following Good Manufacturing Practices.

The position is 3rd shift (11PM–7:30AM) with overtime potential and requires basic math, basic computer skills, and a High School diploma or GED. Training provided within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills are required.
• Basic computer experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I training within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Follow PPE and safety policies to ensure safe work practices.
• Be punctual and adhere to the work schedule.
• Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating effectively with others.
• Follow General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keep the work area neat, clean and organized.
• Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams from lines.
• Pick up dropped bottles and place into designated bins.
• Place discarded bottles into grinder when applicable.
• Inspect bottles for quality during production, packaging and labeling.
• Perform bottle drop tests on designated lines.
• Escalate bottle abnormalities and quality issues immediately.
• Monitor packaging material levels and replenish as needed.
• Ensure correct labeling, description and packaging per customer requirements.
• Move finished goods to designated areas.
• Ensure efficient setup and organization of workstations; restock supplies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and design.
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.
