Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Control Room Operator to safely run the cooker and rendering equipment to produce a high-quality finished product that meets food safety and production standards. You will inspect equipment daily, monitor materials and finished bins, and report safety and mechanical issues to the management team.

The role requires good communication skills, an understanding of basic manufacturing principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Operator will monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins, to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency.
• Must monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and be able to react accordingly.
• Performs all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
• May have to assist maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Operator will monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins, to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency.
• Must monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and be able to react accordingly.
• Preforms all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
• May have to assist maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be capable of communicating in both oral and written formats.
• Must have an understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

The employee is required to lift a minimum of 50lbs. The employee is often required to stand, sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Close vision acuity capability required for this position. Ability to cross-train personnel to replace position in the event of absence.

Schedule
Day Shift 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Operate on a 2 – 2 – 3 schedule (Every other Friday, Saturday, & Sunday off)

Pay: $18.10hr $1.00 differential
