Position Title: Machine Operator

Wage: $24.72/hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Euless, TX. This is a potential to hire position for 3rd shift.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment
• Operate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard charts
• Place and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches
• Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on work orders and blueprints
• Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices
• Complete work order paperwork
• Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures
• Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
• Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department
• Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use
• Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency
• Assist with training other team members
• Follow safety rules and quality standards
• Model ethical and moral behavior consistent with the company values

Requirements for Machine Operator:

• High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry
• Excellent math and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to adapt and open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
• Able to perform work independently with minimal defects
• Able to understand drawings and blueprints
• Able to use basic measuring instruments
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds IND153
