A leading company in the food and beverage industry is seeking a Supervisor to oversee operations, ensure compliance with Safety and Quality standards, and promote efficiency among staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience in manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to team building. This role offers the opportunity to foster a positive work environment while minimizing product and material loss.
The following experiences and skills are applicable, but not limited to:
1. Ensures adherence to Safety and Quality program, company work rules, policies and procedures through timely and appropriate use of discipline for all employees.
2. Direct and indirect oversight of the entire operation with support from all department managers.
3. Ensures GMP's and good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout areas of responsibility.
4. Reviews and reacts to systems line control data to ensure compliance with specifications and Good Manufacturing practices.
5. Responsible for minimizing product and/or material loss through cooperative action with personnel.
6. Recommends and implements procedures to promote safety, quality and efficiency.
7. Promotes efficient use of available personnel through training and expectation setting. Use skills matrix to develop plan.
8. Maintains positive employee/departmental relationships that are aligned with the company values.
9. Promptly escalates known or anticipated problems to Operations Manager.
10. Equipment/Personnel evaluations for both efficiency gains and Sanitation opportunities.
11. Demonstrates commitment to continued personal and professional growth.
12. Exercises tact and discretion in interpersonal contacts
13. Respects confidentiality of privileged information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skills:
· 5-10 years of Supervisory or Leadership experience in manufacturing preferably in food and beverage.
· Note: Experience can be substituted for education.
· Good problem-solving ability with successful experience in a team building environment.
· Troubleshooting expertise in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
