Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector/ Trainee, Level I and Level II (3rd Shift) to perform testing using specific techniques on aerospace products. Uses knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment setup, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures. Interprets and evaluates test results. This role will be 1st shift, Monday to Friday initially, with potential shifts to Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat (10-hour shifts) in the near future.

Salary: $27.50 - $37/hr DOE

Responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Contribute to the company safety culture by observing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Once certified and trained, work multiple inspection cells simultaneously.
Skills / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Level 1 or 2 in UT inspection is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret information, write legibly, take accurate measurements, present data effectively, and edit work for spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient vision, natural or corrected, to pass annual vision exams.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
