About Solventum

Solventum is a company that was formerly part of 3M Healthcare. We are seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates to join our 3rd shift team in Meriden, CT. Our business focuses on Purification & Filtration.

Transition and Operations

We have entered into an agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific, anticipated to complete by the end of 2025. During this transition, Solventum continues to operate as a unified entity, and employment is subject to our terms and policies.

Role Impact and Responsibilities

As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/control systems, including drive control components, I/O, PLC devices & logic, field control devices, network systems, and communication.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, HVAC, and utilities.
• Document work and develop standard procedures for maintenance activities.
• Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment and tools.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• High School Diploma / GED or higher.
• Three (3) years of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic work experience.
• Ability to work rotating weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Enrolled in or recently completed a two-year technical degree or certificate in an engineering or maintenance-related field.
• Good documentation skills and ability to read electrical/mechanical prints.
• Basic understanding of predictive/preventive maintenance and condition monitoring.
