Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is seeking a Millwright for the 3rd shift (Sunday night–Thursday night, 10pm–6am). You’ll coordinate schedules, perform preventative maintenance, repair equipment, train apprentices, and ensure OSHA, NEC, and Fire code compliance. Lift truck/crane work and documentation are part of the role.

Salary starts at $31.93 per hour with a shift premium totaling $32.93/hour, plus great benefits and opportunities to grow with the world’s largest tool maker.

Qualifications

• State approved Maintenance Journeyman's card or equivalent experience.
• State approved Mechanical Maintenance Journeyman Card or five years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules and follow up on assignments through completion.
• Establish preventative maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Complete the necessary preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment as scheduled.
• Attend required safety classes and follow all safety rules.
• Repair and recondition equipment throughout the facility as required.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of mechanical maintenance activities.
• Operate lift truck, cranes, welders and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
• Train new apprentices as assigned.
• Abide by OSHA, National Electric Code, and Fire codes.
• Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO and company procedures.

What You'll Do

As a Millwright , you'll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You'll get to: Responsibilities / Authority:

• Coordinate schedules and follow up on assignments through completion
• Establish preventative maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime
• Complete the necessary preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment as scheduled
• Attend required internal and/or external safety classes and follow all safety rules
• Repair and recondition equipment throughout the facility as required
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of mechanical maintenance activities
• Operate lift truck, cranes, welders and other equipment to perform maintenance duties
• Train new apprentices as assigned
• Abide by all OSHA, National Electric Code, and Fire codes
• Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO and company procedures
• Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Plan and recommend future equipment and facility requirements
• Assist in the selection and development of mechanical maintenance personnel
• Perform Maintenance tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership

• Ability to develop, implement, or improve preventative maintenance measures
• Experienced electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic background
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, the National Electric Code, and the Fire Code
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, along with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must have a valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions both inside and outside
