Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a Technician I, Maintenance for the 3rd shift in Lancaster, NY. You will support plant equipment and building maintenance to meet food safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and compliance. A 2-year electronics/maintenance degree or 3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics/maintenance mechanics or 3+ years in maintenance mechanic role.
• Experience with repair or preventive maintenance in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics.
• Working knowledge of CMMS.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout programs.
• Working knowledge of boiler operations.
• Stick or TIG welding of small repairs.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to solve practical problems and use basic math concepts.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent downtime.
• Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all food safety requirements and policies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
