Job summary

Terumo Medical Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Operator I for 3rd shift (10:00p–6:30a) in Elkton, MD. You will set up, operate, and maintain production equipment, perform inspections, and help ensure quality output.

After training, work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions when required. Responsibilities include line changeovers, preventative maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and supporting material supply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma.
• Able to use hand tools and perform basic mechanical/electrical tasks as trained.
• Able to set up/changeover production lines and perform preventive maintenance.
• Must be able to drive a forklift when required.
• Requires 20/20 vision or corrective vision and strong attention to detail.
• Physical demands include standing, walking and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment to produce quality products.
• Perform part inspections within specified frequency and process parameters.
• Set up and changeover production lines for different type schedules.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with job changeovers.
• Ensure adequate raw material supply and follow the Quality System procedures.
• Troubleshoot production processes and participate in improvement discussions.
• Attend project/performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit.
