Job summary

Royal is a diverse manufacturer serving automotive, furniture, and consumer products from its Hudsonville-Quincy facility. A Mechatronics Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift keeps manufacturing equipment performing at its best and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and PLC/robotics experience, with training on 1st shift before moving to 3rd shift (12am-8am). Safety and teamwork are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing maintenance field.
• Experience with injection molding, custom automation and PLC programming preferred.
• Must have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
• Willing and able to work overtime.
• Ability to work 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repair of hydraulic and electric injection molding machines, gantry and articulating robots, and related equipment.
• Understand complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including servo drives, digital/analog control, and cartridge valves.
• Apply metrology for precision setup and maintenance.
• Use predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography and ultrasonic measurement.
• Apply education, theory, and mathematics to equipment maintenance.
