Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a 3rd Shift Technician to maintain manufacturing capability and support production continuity. You will troubleshoot specialized equipment, enforce quality and documentation standards, and guide operators during off-shift hours.

You will be the on-floor SME for MES systems, resolve downtime, and help optimize processes while collaborating with engineers, operators, and lab teams. This 3rd shift role requires an onsite commitment from 11pm to 7am.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with 5 years manufacturing exposure.
• Minimum 2 years in a technical manufacturing role.
• Onsite work required; night shift (11pm–7am).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues in real-time with engineers and operators to prevent downtime.
• Dispostion stator bars, manage data uploads and perform audits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot critical production equipment and Shape Check systems.
• Authorize shipments after quality checks are complete.
• Serve as floor SME for MES systems and guide operators.
• Lead process improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Assist stator bar testing with non-metallics lab and industrialization teams.

Job Description Summary

The 3rd Shift Technician is responsible for maintaining manufacturing capability, production continuity, and continuous improvement at the station and line level. You will ensure the technical integrity of the line by troubleshooting specialized equipment, optimizing production processes, and enforcing strict quality and documentation standards. Acting as the on-floor Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will resolve technical hurdles, minimize downtime, and guide operators on critical process requirements during off-shift hours.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineers and operators to troubleshoot issues in real-time, proactively preventing line stoppages.

• Assist in dispositioning stator bars, manage data uploads (SPEC, Shape Check, VAB), and conduct rigorous documentation audits.

• Maintain and troubleshoot critical production equipment, including Shape Check systems, resistor towers, and material handling equipment.

• Authorize shipments through verifying completion status and ensure total quality compliance before releasing product for shipping.

• Serve as the primary floor support for MES systems and provide technical guidance on operations terminology, facility procedures, and equipment operation.

• Participate in and lead initiatives to optimize production processes and equipment reliability.

• Assist the non-metallics lab and industrialization team with specialized stator bar testing.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in technical discipline (OR High School Diploma/GED + 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience).

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in a technical manufacturing role.

• 100% Onsite Position

• Able to work 11pm-7am
