Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a 3rd Shift Technician to maintain manufacturing capability, ensure production continuity, and drive continuous improvement on the line. You will troubleshoot specialized equipment, enforce quality standards, and act as the on-floor SME during overnight operations.

You will work 11pm–7am onsite, collaborate with engineers and operators to minimize downtime, optimize processes, and verify documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in technical discipline or 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in a technical manufacturing role
  • 100% onsite position and ability to work 11pm-7am

  • Troubleshoot issues in real-time with engineers and operators to prevent line stoppages
  • Assist in dispositioning stator bars and conduct documentation audits
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical production equipment including Shape Check systems and resistor towers
  • Authorize shipments after verifying completion status and quality compliance
  • Provide on-floor MES support and guidance on operations terminology and equipment operation
  • Lead initiatives to optimize production processes and equipment reliability
  • Assist lab and industrialization teams with stator bar testing

Job description

Job Description Summary

The 3rd Shift Technician is responsible for maintaining manufacturing capability, production continuity, and continuous improvement at the station and line level. You will ensure the technical integrity of the line by troubleshooting specialized equipment, optimizing production processes, and enforcing strict quality and documentation standards. Acting as the on-floor Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will resolve technical hurdles, minimize downtime, and guide operators on critical process requirements during off-shift hours.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with engineers and operators to troubleshoot issues in real-time, proactively preventing line stoppages.
  • Assist in dispositioning stator bars, manage data uploads (SPEC, Shape Check, VAB), and conduct rigorous documentation audits.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical production equipment, including Shape Check systems, resistor towers, and material handling equipment.
  • Authorize shipments through verifying completion status and ensure total quality compliance before releasing product for shipping.
  • Serve as the primary floor support for MES systems and provide technical guidance on operations terminology, facility procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives to optimize production processes and equipment reliability.
  • Assist the non-metallics lab and industrialization team with specialized stator bar testing.
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in technical discipline (OR High School Diploma/GED + 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in a technical manufacturing role.
  • 100% Onsite Position
  • Able to work 11pm-7am
