Job summary

PDM in Carlisle, IA is seeking an Inventory Associate to maintain stock levels, locate materials for production orders, and prepare finished goods for shipment. The role reports to the Operations Supervisor and emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely material handling.

You will keep inventory records, identify, label, and place items in stock, and assist with standard stock replenishments while supporting continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years' inventory management experience.
• Current OSHA forklift operation certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand safety policies and procedures and promote compliance.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock; recording locations.
• Locate materials for production orders and prepare finished stock for shipment.
• Record units shipped and maintain in-process inventory.
• Assist in ordering replenishments within established procedures.

Responsibilities And Areas Of Accountability

• Responsibilities and Duties:
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Maintains in-process inventory
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate

Education: High school diploma/GED required

Experience: 1+ years' inventory management experience
