Job summary

Ellwood Texas Forge Houston is seeking a Utility Operator (ETFH) – Material Handler on the 3rd shift to support forging and machining operations. You'll work across departments, operate grinders and saws, and help run the 11,000-ton forging press, with emphasis on safety and physical work.

Qualifications

• A high School Diploma/GED is required.
• Ability to manage a very physical job including heavy lifting and pulling.
• Willingness to learn and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe material handling using overhead cranes and wheeled equipment.
• Operate grinder to remove defects and prepare parts according to instructions.
• Verify saw dimensions or weights and adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions.
• Operate saws to cut, slot, groove, and trim work pieces per specifications.
• Complete required operational data entry and maintain material traceability.
