Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift at its Detroit, MI operations. You will unload, prep, stock, and transport materials to production lines, ensuring FIFO and timely deliveries while maintaining housekeeping and inventory controls.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in warehouse operations with forklift experience, strong communication, organization, and detail orientation, plus basic computer skills. Training support and safety adherence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Two to five years’ experience in warehouse operations and forklift experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Detail conscious.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks material from pallets and places in smaller flow racks, ensuring FIFO process is followed.
• Decant and / or prepare material as required for each production line.
• Stocks the production lines using the proper equipment such as a tugger or walk behind. Must deliver the right number of parts to the line at the right time.
• Removes trash from the materials area and production lines. Loads cardboard and plastic into the compactors.
• Assists with inventory control functions of the on-site and off-site warehouses, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintains lot traceability as required.
• Supports training as required.
• Any other tasks and duties as assigned.Replacement
