Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor (3rd Shift) at our Bowling Green, OH plant to lead daily shipping/receiving operations. You will manage inbound/outbound freight, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality, and inventory accuracy across the department.

The role emphasizes training and developing a team, adherence to procedures, and delivering performance metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives. The position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience; forklift operator experience required.
• 2+ years supervising production staff preferred.
• Ability to work third shift hours, including weekends and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including inbound and outbound freight, material handling, and inventory control.
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of shipping/receiving personnel, including performance management, scheduling, and task delegation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the shipping/receiving department.
• Supervise sorting, staging, and inventory handling operations to support production and customer requirements.
• Ensure shipping and receiving equipment is operated and maintained according to established procedures; coordinate repairs and maintain required supplies
• Maintain a safe, secure, and organized work environment by enforcing safety policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices; promptly address and communicate potential hazards.
• Collect, analyze, and report shipping and receiving performance metrics, trends, and operational data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper documentation and record retention practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
