Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Material Handler based in New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for providing products, placing products throughout the facility, and handling shipping and receiving. Responsibilities include daily safety inspections of forklifts and work areas, weighing scrap materials, and transporting finished goods and raw materials to staging areas.

What you’ll do:
  • Perform daily safety inspections of forklifts and work areas.
  • Coordinate with other shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Weigh scrap materials from the previous shift.
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials to staging areas, load/unload trailers, and inspect trailers before loading.
  • Secure chocks, install glad hand locks, trailer jacks, and complete safety sign-off sheets.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and managers to meet productivity and safety goals.

What you’ll bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a forklift driver or material handler.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

  • Adaptability to changing environments and demands.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
