Jones-Hamilton Co. in Kentucky seeks a reliable Material Handler to support operations by managing inventory, transporting materials, and ensuring timely delivery throughout the facility. This hands-on role involves operating material handling equipment, data entry into the ERP, and maintaining safety and organization.

After the initial training, the position runs on 3rd shift. Ideal candidates will have forklift certification, basic math, and strong teamwork to help keep production running

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic math, computer literacy, and ERP data entry experience.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments; inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against packing slips.
• Store materials in designated locations with proper organization and labeling.
• Operate and maintain automated bagging equipment; inspect and troubleshoot as needed.
• Address issues such as clogged conveying lines or product buildup in bins.
• Transport materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
• Pick, stage, and load orders with precision and timeliness.
• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts and other equipment.
• Enter material movement and inventory data into the ERP system.
• Complete documentation related to inventory adjustments and order fulfillment.
