Thorgren Tool and Molding Co., Inc. in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Material Grinder for the 3rd shift. The role involves retrieving material from production floor, grinding, labeling scrap, and preventing cross-contamination.

You will operate standard grinding equipment, meet safety guidelines, and assist the Floor Supervisor with breaks. High school diploma and manufacturing experience preferred; forklift certification encouraged.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Grind material.
• Collect runners and totes from machines on the Production floor.
• Set up and safely operate standard grinding equipment.
• Identify barrels and gaylords of re-grind.
• Ensure totes are labelled with correct material content.
• Pickup scrap totes from all machines during the shift.
• Record grinding production and submit to proper personnel.
• Assist Floor Supervisor with machine operator breaks.
• Sweep and maintain cleanliness of Grinding Room, including cleaning grinders when switching materials.
• Comply with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
