We are seeking an experienced 3rd shift Production Supervisor responsible for supervising and organizing activities on the production lines to ensure employee engagement, safety, quality, inventory control, and customer satisfaction, aiming to meet financial targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, assign, and manage the activities of the production team to align with strategic goals.
  • Develop team capabilities and collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and planning departments to resolve issues.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees to meet performance standards and department objectives, ensuring compliance with training requirements and maintaining high employee engagement.
  • Identify and implement improvements in equipment and processes to enhance overall effectiveness, lean manufacturing practices, labor utilization, and quality.
  • Manage operational costs within budget, including labor, inventory, scrap, and equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate with other departments on production planning, scheduling, changeovers, maintenance, and work orders.
  • Work with Focused Factory Managers to update SOPs, Work Instructions, and best practices.
  • Ensure all work complies with quality systems and FDA good manufacturing practices, maintaining a clean and organized production area.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for OEE issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance, quality, and customer service.
  • Promote and enforce safety and environmental policies, assisting with safety investigations and corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Alternatively, at least 3 years of experience in a filling/packaging environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a filling and packaging environment; cosmetics or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
