Job summary

Comunidade Metodista in Webster, MA seeks a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in a busy manufacturing environment. This full-time, permanent role offers top-tier pay and the chance to work with cutting-edge equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility and production equipment, read schematics, use PLCs, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Strong mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills are required; AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Electronics or related field.
• 2-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Technical school or trade certification is a plus.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drive systems and pneumatics.
• Ability to read safety rules, SOPs, manuals, and SDS sheets.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility and production equipment (Extruders, Mixers, Dryers, Pumps, Compressors, Pelletizers, etc.).
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or mechanical parts (switches, sensors, starters, etc.).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CEBOS or physical files.
• Use and program PLCs to troubleshoot and monitor systems.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, welding, and fabrication tasks.
• Test, inspect, and calibrate equipment for operational readiness.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and complete them in the tracking system.
• Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and safety procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and metalworking equipment as needed.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Handle emergencies such as equipment failure, HVAC issues, power outages, etc.
