Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift at our Cannon Falls, MN plant. The role performs mechanical and electrical repairs on all plant equipment and executes scheduled preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $36.00 per hour with shift differential, based on prior experience. We offer 401(k) with company match, ESPP, health plans, PTO, and tuition assistance to support growth.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Install machinery, fixtures and related hookups for equipment.
• Disassemble, diagnose, repair and rebuild company equipment and machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on machinery and equipment as assigned.
• Must be knowledgeable in safety requirements for handling chemicals and hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Install machinery and related hookups for efficient operation.
• Disassemble, diagnose and repair equipment; rebuild as needed.
• Order or fabricate parts for service using welding, machining, electrical and mechanical processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and collaborate with engineering on new equipment.
