Job summary

Tyson Foods in Banks, AL is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment, ensuring a safe, compliant production environment at the Eufaula Feed Mill Banks facility.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documentation of actions taken. Ability to work under varying temperatures, lift up to 70 lbs, and operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of industrial maintenance training program or combination of experience and education to meet the 2 – year requirement.
• 180 Day Rehire Waiting Period
• 3 Time Maximum Rehire Rule

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
• Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
• Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
• Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
• The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.
• Required to wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75lbs. at all times.
