Job summary

Gorton’s seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 for our Lebanon, IN facility to ensure timely PMs and repairs that keep plant operations running smoothly. You will work with production, quality, and sanitation teams to keep equipment in top condition and safety standards met.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing welds, using CMMS for work orders, and coordinating with planners and vendors for cost-effective parts and repairs.

Qualifications

• 2 years in electrical experience.
• 4 years experience in Industrial maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Motivated individual who takes pride in work and can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Locate and check out maintenance parts and materials from stockroom.
• Troubleshoot building HVAC and Plant Electrical Equipment.
• Use CMMS to complete and create work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electrical equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Weld with TIG/MIG/and Stick weld.
• Put in requisitions for low quantity parts.
• Follow BRC requirements for food industry standards.
• Support building and production repairs in a timely manner.
• Communicate with team members openly on equipment repairs and PM schedules.
• Participate in daily pass-down meetings.
• Collaborate with maintenance planner to identify parts needed for repairs and rebuilds.
• Collaborate with vendors to build relationships and identify cost savings opportunities.

What you’ll do:

Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 11pm - 7 am

Wage: $33.25 plus an additional $1 shift premium.

What you’ll need:

• Industry certifications preferred
• 2 Years in electrical experience
• 4 Years experience in Industrial maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Motivated individual who takes pride in work performed and can work efficiently with minimal supervision
